A Night at the Roxbury (1998)

IMDB Synopsis:

Two dim-witted brothers dream of owning their own dance club or at least getting into the coolest and most exclusive club in town, The Roxbury.

I can’t lie, this is probably one of my favorite movies ever. It’s so tacky and poorly filmed, but the comedic skills of then-SNL members Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell have me rolling on the floor laughing every time I watch it. My brother and I quote it all the time, which can be awkward for people who haven’t seen this movie. The topic of club-hopping is not as relevant to today’s young people, so it’s hard to find humor in it if you don’t get the basic idea of their lifestyles. However, A Night at the Roxbury is hilarious. The cast performs brilliantly, including other SNL member Molly Shannon and Richard Greico from the television show 21 Jump Street. If you don’t like this movie, I don’t know what to say, because it’s probably one of the best comedies ever made.
